Our Design Facilities

Engineering Development Lab

Our engineering design space is in the Aerospace Engineering and Research Building (AERB) rooms 023 and 013.

T-Vac Chamber

With industry support, students from our department have put together a thermal vaccum chamber that we can use to rigorously test the space-readiness of our satellites.

Vibrational Table

A newly purchased vibrational table allows us to assess the structural integrity of our satellites before we send them for launch.

Clean Room

An on-campus clean room supports final flight model integration.

Mission Control Center

A mission control center is being constructed in AERB 120 that will support all on-orbit communication with the satellite. Antennae mounted on the roof of the building will be used to send telecommands to the satellite, while receiving critical telemetry to assess the health of the spacecraft and verify mission objectives are being met.
